IM SO FREAKING TIRED!!
[PJC = PIONEER JUNIOR COLLEGE] ORIENTATION DAY 1...
woke up at 0530 today. super early!! want to know why. because i had been posted to PJC [which on the other end of singapore. yeah. i live in pasir ris and its in choa chu kang] cos when i was searching for my JC, my mom and i didnt look at the location but only the cut off points [we never expected that i'd get in there] LOL.
took the train. it was almost an hour's ride. sooooooo boring. slept through out. luckily i had SNSD's voices to accompany me throughout! on the way i saw a pioneer girl. so i decided to follow her. got off at choa chu kang mrt station and i thought she was going to take the bus or LRT. instead she walked on. i was shocked [why did i follow her...] so i hesistated to follow her, not sure of what to do i just stoned at the nearby busstop. my instinct told me RUN AFTER HER! i did. i ran after her and was super out of breathe!
me: ar. ar. are you walking to pioneer JC?
aisha [her name, she's from maldi. i think thats what it is]: yes:)
[so we walked together. it was far. . . worse than from tanah merah mrt to sacss!]
reached PJC and aisha had to go to the GO. so i went to look at the notice board for my OG group [orientation group], im in OG24. went to the hall to assemble and sit in our OG groups. while our OGL [leader] was taking attendance she came and asked : SAC right? im from sac too:) [she's breety from 4/6 last time, sorry i dont know how to spell her name]
made new friends there. but felt kind of out of place cos everyone is in cliches. have i mentioned before im the only SACian? [i think i did] im sort of used to a mix school kind of feel. its about the same eh... maybe all girl's school's girls are different? noiser? i cant cliche with the mix school girls maybe cos their a little too NIANG [girly] with the giggles and stuff. i shall just go make friends with guys then. . . YO BROTHER!!
ate sandwiche for lunch cos the canteen was so packed. then had MASS ICE BREAKERS. played the squrriel.tree game. it was so funny lah! we just go out and find random ppl to be partners. one time the squrriel was a guy then a girl and i were the tree, the squrriel was PRACTICALLY TALLER THAN THE TREES. LOL. one time the trees [us] were looking for squrriels not squrriel's looking for trees. HAHAHA! learned some PIONEER CHEERS! SUPER FUN! and performances from each house clan: ALPHA, BETA, GAMMA, DELTA, SIGMA, TETHA
later i had to leave early to go for the audition for MJC's CO! left PJC at 1400. actually i really dont mind going to PJC. its really a nice school with mice and funny ppl. its simply too far.
ME: i need to leave early today cos i need to appeal
JL [OGL]: why? to where?
ME: MJC
JL [OGL]: OH. where do you stay?
ME: i stay in pasir ris
JL [OGL]: HUH? wah. you win lah you! [super shocked eyes]

APPEALS!!!
-Tampines JC online appeal submitted. i heard there were 100 ppl who appealed[omona!]
-Meridian JC. CCA Audition [200208]
i went for the audition today. i was seriously totally unprepared! i had no scores [which i wanted to 'steal' from the school but they had CAMP CORRI!] i had not been playing the Double Bass for... 6 months? i tried to use my memory to play CHANG CHEN, only the first 20 bars? its quite ok cos i still had a rough idea of CHANG CHEN. whats more the bow is the small model not the big one... i hadnt been using this kinds of bow for 2 years? WOW!!
so louisa was there to appeal too:) she had her audition before mine. i also met aitng and jocelyn [4/7] there:) so i tried to practice with the bass for awhile before going in. when i went in i explained that i didnt have scores and are trying to play by memory. i dont know why. but i was just not nervous at all. there were 4 teachers and 5 seniors. seriously, i just played as if nothing was wrong. so they requested that i play another song. OMG! i decided to play WUSHU. i screwed up abit. LOL. i dont have the scores so it cant be helped.
the conversation part was the funniest! they were half the time laughing!
#1 teacher: which school have you been posted to?
ME: PJC
teacher: oh? where do you stay?
ME: pasir ris
teachers and seniors: [looks up and stared in amazment] LOL
#2 teacher: so do you know anything about MJCO?
ME: yeah. i came here for the open house before.
teacher: what did they get for SYF last year?
ME: silver [smiles]
teacher: [nods] what about your school?
ME: silver
everyone and i: [laughing]
#3 teacher: any other schools you appealed?
ME: TPJC, i heard that there are 100 pupils appealing too [hinting that you should take me in]
teacher: so was MJC your first choice?
ME: no. TPJC. MJC was my 5th choice
teacher: so if TPJC and MJC were to offer you a place. who would you choose
ME: MJC [anyone in their right mind would say that]
teacher: then why is TPJC your first choice?
ME: because my points are not really for the standard to get into MJC. so i had to put TPJC as my first choice. i really would choose MJC because i know that the school's percentage passes to university is high[good].
teacher: so its to secure a place in MJC
ME: yes[smiles:)]
[there were lots of qns. but the others are just normal questions]
went to the canteen with louisa and met aiting and jocelyn there. i decided to eat soursop de ice jelly after my long day:) shared it with louisa. she was so worried cos the other zhongruan girl auditioning played the same songs as her and even have the scores. louisa is just like me. dont have scores and are super unprepared. the teachers and seniors must be thinking that SACCO ppl go for audition dont need scores one! LOL...
