gosh. im finally sitting down now! hurray. i shall go watch my IT STARTED WITH A KISS 2 EP3 [THEY KISSED AGAIN].
[070108/080108] DAY 1 & 2. its only the beginning of WORK
i haven't been using the computer since yesterday. cos i was working at GOH JOO HIN'S [NEW MOON] comtech warehouse sale since monday [ITS CRAZY THERE. IM SERIOUS]. before there i was doing some things at the office upstairs.
met many new friends! dionis [who is crazy about DBSK and HERO just like me], emily, jeffrice, evonne, catherine, karine, xin ru [etc] i got the job there cos my dad works in the company and they needed helpers. so all together there were poly guys [kenny aka rain, dennis, hai shan, kelvin, jia qin], they always help for these fairs and stuff, a poly girl [elean, her bf is jia qin] and me =7 helpers. had to do invoicing cos we were in charge of the credit card and nets payment. had to write the invoices out till we went mad. there were so many ppl can! arrrggghhh!
we had to stock up the stock. pack things. lots of manual job! actually this job is more for guys to do. seriously~ cos carrying of heavy things are required. i carried something weighing 20 kg [i know i may be nothing to some, but after all im still a girl] kenny was super shocked when he saw me carry the sack of rice [20 kg]. kenny: wa. you carry like nothing like that. like that im like the strongest girl there [so there's pros and cons]
we had to do some delivery too. yeah. its really hard work. its so different from ying ting and beverly's job. their much more relaxed. cos their customers dont come like water being splashed on you [meaning, very fast] pur customers come at the speed of light, they buy lots of things and we get super confused. i guess im getting the hang of it.
whenever new stocks come. we'll have to replenish it. i left it for the guys to do cos kenny said: this one let guys do. girls never mind. [ok. fine.] all the guys are friendly [although they didnt really seem like that on monday, but on tuesday everyone sort of communicate better] so they seemed friendlier.
i also learnt how to use the nets and credit card machines [its actually super easy] my temp job was supposed to end on wed. but they extended the sale till thurs. so i have to follow. but i dont mind. its actually quite fun [although i usually end up as the only girl helper. which is kind of sad. nvm, i still can talk to the guys]
THINGS YOU MUST HAVE IF YOU WORK IN GJH / FOOD FAIRS
-PAITENCE & ENDURANCE
-STRENGTH [although elean didnt really carry anything.]
-GOOD IN MATHEMATICS [careless mistakes are a big NO NO]
-POLITE
-GOOD IN SELLING THE PRODUCT [be clear and never mumble to yourself]
-SACRIFICE YOUR BREAK TIMES [actually there isnt really a break, there's only time to eat your packed lunch and off to work again]
-WILLING TO RUN AROUND OR STAND AROUND THE WHOLE DAY [you dont actually get a chance to sit]
